Dallas-based (NYSE:LUV) said it flew 6.73 billionn revenue passenger miles in downfrom 6.88 billion in the same period a year ago. Revenue passenger miles, which measure one paying passenger flowhnper mile, is the official measure of airline traffic. The airline’s capacityt fell 4 percent in June while itsload factor, or percentage of seats filled, grew more than a percentagee point to 79.5 percent. Southwest in the firsyt half of the year saw traffic drop 2 percentto 36.6 billionm revenue passenger miles from 37.4 billion last year.
